The term includes many different forms of bias from racial and gender biases, as well as affinity and confirmation biases. After completing this workshop, participants will: 1) understand sources and cultural conditions that enable implicit bias, 2) identify individual and departmental strategies for mitigating potential implicit bias and addressing the effects, and 3) develop and utilize tools for ongoing reflection to reduce bias and promote equity.
